We had a lot of fun in math today.  We talked about adding 10 and subtracting 10 using mental computation.  Then I introduced a game called the Number Grid Game.

For the last week and a half, we have been working on our new stories.  We discussed things that made us think of Fall then we made a list these items.  The prompt they used was "The time I turned into....."  They were able to choose one of the four (pumpkin, scarecrow, football or leaf) as the item they turned into.  I will be posting a few of these every day. :)  The kids  are doing a great job!

In reading today, we worked with partners to answer questions that were based on the story Alexander Who Used To Be Rich.  Then they had to present their answers to the class. :)

This is my second post today, but I wanted to share some more pictures of my amazing students.  I took most of these the first week of school.  I have been waiting to get my blog going and permission slips returned to post the pictures.  A few of them are from a paper airplane compliment activity.  The students were able to make paper airplanes and fly them around the room.  When one landed they would pick up a random one and write nice things about that person.  It was fun and the only time I allow paper airplanes in the classroom. :)

Here are some other pictures.
